Hickatee Cottages

Hickatee Cottages is intentionally small, and decidedly quiet with just four rooms in Caribbean-style buildings: choose from our detached cottage room, one of the two rooms in our 'duplex' unit (each with their own separate entrance and facilities, but sharing a common deck) or our new one-bedroom suite.

Accommodations

Cottage rooms: The two adjoining rooms in the duplex unit ('semi-detached' for Brits) affords privacy to single guests but adapts well for friends and family traveling together, whilst the detached cottage room offers extra privacy. Our cottage rooms are furnished with locally made hardwood furniture, ceiling fans, and en-suite bathroom facilities. They have both a double and single bed to provide flexibility for couples, friends, and families (maximum  occupancy 3 people).  Relax in the small sitting area, or on your verandah where you can enjoy the tropical gardens and view the wildlife, and use the Cottages' 'night-sight' for nocturnal viewing.

One-bedroom suite:  Our new one-bedroom suite offers something a little more special for couples. Originally built as our house, it offers spacious accommodation with a queen-sized bed in the bedroom, en-suite bathroom facilities, and a large lounge with a vaulted ceiling,  with locally-made rattan furniture. The suite has a larger private verandah with hammock and couch, as well as a small deck at the back of the house and a private garden area next to our 'farm'.

Rates start at US$55

Accommodation rates are based on the number of people per room per night, and include:
•    free transfer to and from the airstrip, bus station, or boat dock
•    free morning tea or coffee delivered to your verandah
•    free light continental breakfast (fresh homemade bread, local jams and honey, tea and coffee, and freshly squeezed juice)
•    free internet access using the modem jack at Charlie's Bar and some WiFi - bring your own laptop!
•    free use of bikes to explore the local area
•    free visit to Fallen Stones Butterfly Farm on a Wednesday or Saturday (exclusive to guests of Hickatee Cottages on a first-come, first-served basis)
•    5% discount on Tropic Air flights booked through Hickatee Cottages
