Located within a stone’s throw of Belize’s Great Barrier Reef, Matachica is located 5 miles north of the town of San Pedro on Ambergris Caye, surrounded by beautiful tropics and incredible marine wildlife.

The resort’s majestic lobby set under a soaring thatch roof, is designed with rustic elegance and style for your comfort. A wonderful spot to mingle, thumb through a variety of magazines and local travel books from our library while listening to our eclectic collection of music from around the world.
Award winning MAMBO restaurant, amongst the best in the country, serves exquisite contemporary dishes, lots of seafood and a variety of homemade pastas and breads. Carefully selected music flows into the MAMBO dining room, filled with contemporary paintings, candelabras, local ceramic treasures, exotic hand crafted Belizean art and Central American mahogany furniture.

The beachfront bar lounge has been completely re-designed, incorporating an extension of our trademark thatch roof, antique Guatemalan pillars, exotic lounge chairs, billiard table and intimate lighting. With our amazing collection of spirits, single-malt scotch, porto and cognac, Cuban cigars (yes, they are permitted here in Belize!) and ambient music, we have created a truly unique and memorable lounge experience.
Our Cinema-Martini Lounge offers free internet access on widescreen Apple computers, and a huge plasma television screening an extensive selection of classic films.

JADE SPA offers a wide range of treatments all with organic local ingredients, tropical scents and relaxing ambiance.

SeaView Suites: 600 square feet of beautiful interior space. Two queen beds. 125 feet from the Caribbean Sea. Views of the Barrier Reef and Caribbean Sea. Full bathroom, air-conditioning, sitting area, private patio with hammock, feather duvet, Frette linens, towels, bathrobes and Central American interior furnishings.

SeaBreeze Bungalows: 350 square feet of quaint interior space. King bed. 200 feet from the Caribbean Sea. Full bathroom, air-conditioning, sitting area, private patio with hammock, feather duvet, Frette linens, towels, bathrobes and Central American interior furnishings.

Luxury Caribbean Villas:  Located in the highest part of the resort, and further elevated for additional privacy. Each of these Luxury Villas have two spacious air-conditioned bedrooms with a private patio each, two full bathrooms, kitchenette, living room and sun deck. 1700 square feet of interior space. Feather duvets, Frette linens, towels, bathrobes and Central American interior furnishings.

Beach Mansion:  offers 3000 square feet of artistically designed pure luxury. Three sumptuous bedrooms each with king bed, including a top floor master bedroom with its own private sun patio with breathtaking panoramic view. Three full bathrooms with very spacious jungle rain showers big enough for two. Includes a grand living area with entertainment center and kitchenette, as well as a very large outdoor verandah. Feather duvets, Frette linens, towels, bathrobes and Central American interior furnishings. Fully air-conditioned. The perfect surroundings for a group of up to six persons. With two additional single beds it can accommodate up to eight. This villa is also available for long term rental.

Rate ranges from US$265 to US$1045 per night

Rates are quoted in US Dollars per room and include continental breakfast and transfers from and to the airport in San Pedro. 9% government hotel tax and 10% service charge are not included. Extra person in room US $50,00 + 9% government hotel tax and 10% service charge per night.
